2013 National Cinco de Mayo Festival

Last Date:

Location:
National Mall between 8th & 12th Sts (Metro: Smithsonian)
Details:

An annual celebration featuring live music & dance, children’s arts & crafts workshops, food, games & activities for the entire family. Originally Mexican in origin, the Cinco de Mayo Festival has become a larger “Latin American Family Reunion” on the National Mall. The Festival is free and open to all. Held rain or shine, the national festival is hosted by the Maru Montero Dance Company. The Washington Post called it the most "family friendly" of the Cinco festivals.

The annual festival is an opportunity to explore the rich history, culture and ethnic diversity that is the foundation of Latin Americans in the United States. As the region’s Latino community has grown, the festival has also grown in size and scope.

New location this year!  On the National Mall between 8th and 12th Streets.
