DC 2014 CROP Walk Against Hunger

Last Date:

Location:
1317 G Street, NW Washington, DC
Building:
Franklin Square/Church of the Epiphany
Details:

The Annual District of Columbia CROP Hunger Walk and Food Drive to be held on May 17, 2014. Closing Ceremony to follow at Church of the Epiphany.

Start from where you are! Tenleytown, Southwest, Eastern Market, Brookland--start from your house, your church, or your local civic organization and meet up with teams from across the District to raise awareness, food and funds for those in need.

This year’s DC CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Hunger Walk encourages walkers to "start where they are," wherever they are in the District and meet up with neighbors at Franklin Square Park at 11am to raise money and food for local feeding programs. Walkers should register online at www.cropwalk.org to start raising money now, and bring canned goods the day of the walk.

This year’s beneficiary organizations will be DC Hunger Solutions and Capital Area Food Bank.  This year’s canned goods will be donated to the Capital Food Bank.  CROP Walk is an activity of Church World Service to support local and international feeding programs.  At www.cwsglobal.org you can find the organizations you support that CWS is already supporting, like Heifer International.

We will see you at Franklin Square at 11 am May 17!  Keep up with the Walk and latest updates. Like us on Facebook at 2014 DC CROP Walk!
