DDOT Invites Public to Benning Road Transportation Improvements Environmental Assessment Meeting

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are preparing an environmental assessment (EA) for the proposed Benning Road and Bridge Multi-Modal Transportation Improvements per the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The project will also include evaluation of historic resources, per Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The study area is on Benning Road NE, from Oklahoma Avenue to the Minnesota Avenue and Benning Road Metrorail Stations. DDOT invites the public to attend a public meeting to learn about the project, its scope, and discuss transportation issues in the area.
