DDOT’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Supportive Services Program, in partnership with the 11th Street Bridge Project Program Management Team, will host two training sessions on the DDOT Standard Specifications for Highways and Structures (Gold Book). Each training session will provide contractors with an overview of changes that have been made from the 2009 Standard Specifications for Highways and Structures (Blue Book) to the Gold Book.

The Gold Book Training Session will be offered separately to architectural and engineering firms, so, the course outline has been designed to meet expectations of that group.

The training sessions are open to all certified DDOT/Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s DBE firms and other construction-related small businesses. The sessions are free of charge, however, registration is required.

   Parking: Limited street parking is available; pay parking lots within close proximity

Located 2 ½ blocks away from the Anacostia Metro Station; 1 block away from the historic landmark, The Big Chair. Metro bus routes 90, B2, P6, U2 and the Circulator (Potomac Avenue) stop at Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue and W Street; metro bus routes W3 and W6 stop at Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue and Morris Road.

The meeting for construction firms is on Thursday, February 26, 2015, 10 am to 12 pm, at the same location.
