What does a filmmaker, composer and educator have in common? And how does equilibrium play a role? The Makers Assembly Project (MAP) is thrilled to announce its second public assembly, Equilibrium. It will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 7:30 pm at the Sitar Arts Center located at 1700 Kalorama Road NW, Washington, DC. Please visit our website to register for this free event: www.makersassembly.org.
The Makers Assembly Project organizes public assemblies that focus on the work of three distinct makers. These makers collaborate to create a community arts task that draws from each of their unique practices. At the assembly, the three practitioners speak about their work in a public conversation and present their task to the audience. Each participatory arts project has its own individual set of guidelines and once completed can be submitted for exhibition in MAP’s online gallery.
The Makers Assembly Project fosters broader public discourse around artful practice by placing practitioners of all ages and disciplines in conversation and in community with one another.
