The National Foundation to End Senior Hunger (NFESH) and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington are announcing their new partnership by kicking-off their “Community Table” project. The two organizations are collaborating in an effort to reduce hunger in the District of Columbia and will start tackling the problem by convening local partners at a “Community Table”. The project will take a multi-generational approach in exploring the problems and formulating the solutions to prevent the life cycle of hunger. Food for Thought: Eating Well on a Budget, an outreach initiative by Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind Sesame Street, will be distributed at this event to help caregivers encourage children to build healthy eating habits early on in life.
