Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) is an international service organization that was founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC in 1908. It is the oldest Greek-lettered organization established by African-American college-educated women.  AKA has graduate and undergraduate chapters throughout the United States, and the world, including several in the District of Columbia.  Xi Omega, Xi Zeta Omega, and Rho Mu Omega are the three graduate chapters in DC.
