The District of Columbia’s Inclusive Schools Capstone is an event dedicated to empowering educators, administrators, and families with the tools necessary to create inclusive classrooms. The one-day conference will celebrate Inclusive Schools Week and will feature dynamic trainings and best practice workshops from the District’s top education professionals, advocates and families.
Highlights include:
A welcome keynote from Dan Habib, Director of the film “Including Samuel” and the parent of a child with a disability.
A keynote from Lisa Dieker, Professor at University of Central Florida and the author of five books and two videos on effective strategies for inclusion and co-teaching.
Attendees will have an opportunity to participate in breakout sessions with practical tips and strategies on implementing inclusive practices.
Live demonstrations of technology to support inclusion at school and at home.
