Celebrating Emancipation through Reading and Educating our Communities About the Struggle for Freedom

Part of the Howard University Lecture Series, this Emancipation Day program focuses on a holistic approach to healing the scars of slavery, Jim Crow segregation, oppression and discrimination through good health, positive image awareness, economic and political empowerment, and a clear understanding of emancipation in the struggle for freedom, liberty, justice and equality.
