Join the DC Corrections Information Council (CIC) in signing postcards for the nearly 5,000 incarcerated DC residents who are incarcerated in the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP). Maintaining community ties is one way to improve conditions of confinement and successful reentry for justice-involved individuals. Here's an opportunity for the community to send holiday cheer into prisons across the US.

More than 3500 DC residents 60+ will gather to celebrate the holiday season. The event will feature live music and entertainment, information and health exhibits, free health screenings, manicures, facials, massages a festive lunch and more. Tickets are FREE but required for admission, call (202) 724-5622 for more information.

DPR offers a fun option for our younger constituents during the DC Public Schools (DCPS) winter break: Winter Wondercamp! The overarching theme for the camps will incorporate DPR’s “Move, Grow, and Be Green” philosophy, as we plant the seeds of personal development.
The 2016 Winter Wondercamp will be offered for youth 6 to 12 years old. (Please note that Winter Wondercamp is not be offered for 3 - 5, nor 8 - 13, year olds.)
Registration closes today, Thursday, February 16 at 12 noon for the February 17 DPR Fun Day.
DPR offers three Fun Days at 12 select DPR locations during the 2016/2017 school year, when DC Public Schools (DCPS) conducts full-day closures for Professional Development Days. A single-day program offering fun and enriching activities (such as sports activities, arts and crafts, and more) for children, Fun Day is offered for youth ages 6–12 years old. Fun Day is free, however registration is required.
